The seedling tray substrate we use is peat or other lightweight substrates, which have low quality and good breathability and water retention effects. In winter, seedling cultivation should be carried out in a greenhouse facing the sun, while in summer, attention should be paid to shading and blocking rain.

The temperature that affects the growth of seedlings is very important. It should be flexibly used according to the solar terms and different vegetable characteristics. In winter and spring, the temperature is relatively low. In order to ensure the growth rate of seedlings, we mainly keep it warm. Before seedling emergence, it should be maintained at 25 ℃ to 30 ℃ during the day and 20 ℃ to 25 ℃ at night; After emergence, maintain a temperature range of 20 ℃ to 25 ℃ during the day and 12 ℃ to 18 ℃ at night, depending on different vegetable varieties.

We also need to pay attention to water management and ensure that the hole tray is not too wet or too dry during seedling cultivation. By providing sufficient light intensity and duration for seedling cultivation, the growth rate of seedlings can be affected. In winter and spring, the grass curtain on the small shed should be lifted early and covered late, even on rainy and cloudy days, to increase the light inside the shed. Fluorescent lamps, biological effects, arc lamps, etc. can be used to supplement the light inside the shed.

In order to prevent the troubles of diseases and pests, it is necessary to prevent sudden death during spring seedling cultivation. Use a solution of 400 to 600 times the concentration of 72% Pulik water solution, spray once every 7 days, and spray 2-3 times in a row. In autumn, it is necessary to prevent viral diseases. Use Zhibing Ling or Virus A, spray once every 7 days, and spray 2-3 times in a row. To prevent and control tobacco whitefly and leaf miner, spray avermectin once every 4-5 days and continuously for 3-4 times.
